Monday Update---5 more days!
Sunday, we launched our last promotional announcement during both services, and again, we are more than overwhelmed with joy with the response that our church family has given us. Their support, love and help has been amazing. We rocked the house, encouraging everyone to, "Let's get dirty, let's get USED!" The number "6" was all over the place, reminding everyone that yea, "There's only 6 days left!"--That was yesterday, and today it's 5! And time keeps ticking!
There's no way that this would be a success if it weren't for all the work that so many individuals are investing every day. Many of you reading this haven't had the opportunity to see all this in person, so we hope that through this blog you can get an idea of what is happening and visually see the makeover come to life. Yet, even pictures can't show you the sweat, labor and dedication involved in this project.
Thanks to all the parents and teachers that have made the trip to come work and to the new missionette family members that even if they aren't teachers or have girls in the program, are now forever a part of our family. Thanks to Ivelisse and Gisela that have been leading this effort and spending countless hours at the casita, making sure everyone is taken care of, fed, and constantly working on a project themselves.
We are still looking for sponsors for Extreme Day on Saturday..... we need food donations and we are open for any type of donation at all! Spread the word! All sponsors will receive a business card ad in our website with a link to their business! The webpage will continue to run after Extreme Day, so make sure you check out our sponsors and personally give them a huge word of thanks when you go eat at their restaurants or visit their establishment.
There's only 5 days left... but make sure to keep on coming back here! Because we will update the website and blog every evening to make sure you have the latest information.
Also, feel free to post your comments and words of encouragement for our wonderful helpers! It's always nice to tell someone, "Hey, you might be covered in sweat, but you make painting quite stylish!"
