Scary no more

All that work makes you hungry! Niurka brought us some Wendy's to calm the hunger down. 

There's always time in the middle of painting for some fun... here's Jochebed and Cathy, covered in paint, but still jammin' to the music as they painted. 

It might look like a mess to you, but to us, it's PROGRESS!

Gisela found the stack from 1995! They were doing some massive organizaing today! 

Here is Ivelisse going through files.... That's our charter! It's great to know that we are part of something way bigger, and many girls around the world are Missionettes too! 

And so the legacy continues.... here are the tools that help us scrub! What would an Extreme Makeover be without some good ol' hard work? Today, we had a great group that came to help paint and clean! 

HMMMM... which color should we go with? Neon green? Nah! Yoelly and Becky dream along with us on the "perfect" color combination for the little house. 

Ok, certainly not our most flattering moment, but as you can imagine, we can't look beautiful all the time, especially in the middle of sorting things in the kitchen! Here is Ivelisse and Niurka, sweating and wishing for some Gatorade. 

Did we forget to mention that we are registered at Walmart? Here are Yoelly and Niurka going "Scanner Happy" in the preschool toy section for the Rainbows class. 

And the carpet keeps comin' and comin' and comin' and comin' off! YEAH!

Let's shout it out: "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!" 

The "Friends" room was one of the the first to see that horrible carpet go! Yeah, no more bugs! 

This is the kind of action we love to see! These guys worked on a very hot day, we appreciate them so much! 

LOOK! Things are happening! Finally, all the shrubs in the front are gone!!  

Mold is a big problem. Many of our girls that have asthma cannot withstand being in the house for their class session.  

There are many holes where bugs are getting in that need to be covered. 

This area, like others around the house, needs to be covered and updated into usable space. 

The bathroom needs a new sink.

Yet the teachers and the girls have made the little casita as welcoming as possible. A little paint DOES go a long way
